Soraya Rajan

Hello

My name is Soraya and I am a professional teacher with a passion for fitness.   I have been teaching English to both high school and Elementary School Students for the last five years and I am also trained in teaching nutrition and helping individuals reach their fitness/weight goals.   I love teaching and fitness and truly feel rewarded by helping others reach their goals whether it be changing their way of eating or losing weight.   It could also include overcoming an eating challenge or a pattern such as emotional eating.   I love to teach spinning and also design weight and cardio routines for clients. 

Teaching yoga both yin and more energetic forms have given me the inspiration to really connect our presence with that of our inner spirit making us smile on the inside and follow our passions fully.   I recently completed a Masters in Education at UBC where I learnt how fitness and education can connect giving us and provide a healthy mind and body.  In my classroom I always have action breaks where students can engage in dance, ten minute yoga sessions and even classroom interval games before returning to their academics.  The students are so much more engaged and they love to be involved in physical activity.

I am passionate about nutrition and having a balanced diet that includes superfoods and brain foods to allow us to think clearly and gain energy naturally from our food the fuels our bodies.   Personalizing fitness diet plans is one of the most fascinating and fulfilling activities.  I love  to learn about an individuals lifestyle and then try to design a program that will ensure that they reach their goals.
