I am a 57-year-old female fitness professional. I have the energy and fitness level of a 30-year-old. I hold a B.A and a M.A in sociology. I have designed wellness programs for hospitals and have developed and taught courses for resident physicians in exercise physiology and nutrition.
I have worked for many health clubs and spas. Currently, I am employed by our local YMCA. I am also self-employed as a personal trainer and nutrition counselor. I also do group lectures and seminars for businesses on nutrition and exercise.
My certifications include: CPT, group ex, spinning. I am certified in CPR, first aid, AED, and blood pathogens. I am qualified to teach water aerobics, kettlebells, powercuts, kickboxing, circuit training, boot camp, core strengthening, flexibility, tone.
I relate well to all types of people and have worked with both men and women. I am very good at motivating people.
I also have a vast collection of playlists of music for each class that I teach.
I am married and have 3 children. Ben is 24 and a graduate of West Point. Anna is 20 and a senior at Queens University. Nathan is a freshman at Columbia University in NYC. All 3 kids were on athletic scholarships. My husband, Ben, is a banker with BB&T.
My last child just left home, so I now have the flexibility to travel with my work. My future plans include publishing a book and a video. I currently reside in Hickory, NC.
