I’ve loved NIA from the moment I stepped into my first dance in my first class. It felt like slipping into a perfectly fitting satin dress. A finding of a sense of “home” within my body, and for my body.
After 17 years teaching Health Education, 5 years Directing an ecumenical Sacred Dance Troupe, 4 quarters serving as adjunct faculty of Embodied Ministries/Sacred Dance for Iliff School of Theology, and 10 years co-leading women’s empowerment circles, getting to create a classroom-space of powerful, playful full-person transformation through movement and sensation is a fusion of all my past work experiences. What gratitude I have to share with others the life-nurturing gift which is NIA.
Come everybody, every body, join me in the dance. Oh, what we might discover!
