I am a lawyer by trade, but I have been involved in fitness for most of my adult life. I held 5 state powerlifting records at one time, trained as a boxer for several years, and have been a bellydancer since 2006. I became interested in teaching fitness after moving to Jefferson City, Missouri in 2011 and getting involved with Work It, Girl! Dance Fitness. I obtained my AFAA Group Fitness Instructor certification and began teaching bellydance, Tabata, bootcamp, burlesque dance and chair dance. I then received my PiYo and Turbokick certifications and added those to my class schedule. I received my yoga instructor certification through YogaFit and am now more than halfway through my 200 RYT program. I teach Gentle Yoga and Hot Yoga and plan to add Aerial Yoga to my qualifications shortly. I am also able to teach cycling, but I do not yet have a separate cycling certification.
