I hope to inspire others!
I was never the skinny kid growing up. Exercising and eating healthy wasn't done in my family. By the time I finished university I weighed over 220lbs. I knew I needed to make a change, so I started going to the gym. Zumba class was always a favourite and it kept me going back. I set small achievable goals and reward myself when I accomplished them. I also learned how to eat healthy, and choose options in my diet that I can maintain so I've been sucessful. I have managed to loose over 70lbs and keep it off!
Some of my bigger goals were to run my first 10km, run my first 1/2 marathon, and become a Zumba Instructor. Even now that I have reached my goal weight I continue to make new goals.
I love dancing and fitness so Zumba is the perfect way for me to combine the 2 activities. Seeing the smiles on my pariticpants faces is very rewarding. I hope to be able to bring the Zumba Fitness Party to others inspire them to workout and have fun!
