The DISA model of the Wellness Program is all inclusive. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Wellness Program was initiated for agency employees to improve the state of employee health, well being and quality of work-life balance. The program has had phenomenal success and growth since its initiation in May 2006 with 80 participants, and has evolved into the quintessential benchmark for Wellness programming with 4000 worldwide employees, 78% of our civilian employee base, and will continue to grow in the years to come. DISA Wellness is committed to upholding a Wellness Paradigm that promotes self -responsibility, compassion and a collaboration of education and practical application. Incorporating social, vocational, emotional, intellectual and physical elements, this program strives to invoke positive behavioral change and healthy work life practice. By empowering employees to perform at their personal best, we uphold DISA's singular focus, supporting the war fighter and we strive to work toward this vision for our agency.
