Growing up as a dancer at the age of 2, Christine has been immersed in the world of performing arts and athletics over two decades. After spending time choreographing for competitive dance teams in Northwestern Ohio, she auditioned for Bowling Green State University’s professional dance company, UPD in 2004. Christine received her BS in Dance Education from BGSU in 2007 to continue on to her MFA in Dance Choreography from SHSU in 2010. During graduate school, she began her yoga immersion and learning the psychosocial benefits of yoga and meditation. Finding a profound calling, she began to explore with yoga as a tool to process through mental health trauma, as many of her former soldiers had struggled with. Christine began integrating her dance and yoga passions and started presenting master classes and workshops with Shape America and National Dance Association.
Currently, she continues to present regionally and nationally for Shape America, OAHPERD, and other agencies within the fields of dance and wellness. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist and serves as a trauma-informed yoga instructor with the military and police population in her area. Additionally, Christine travels and presents research on mindful eating and clinical nutrition. Currently, she is finishing her certificate as a clinical herbalist.
