Victoria Geissler

I am a college student at Portland State University and am pursuing a Certificate in Athletic and Outdoor Industry while obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Leadership and Supply and Logistics Management.

While working toward my career goals in fitness and business, I have also been working toward my personal fitness goals.  I started taking group fitness classes in 2010 and fell in love with the cohesive group atmosphere, how motivating the classes were, and how I looked forward to going to the group fitness classes.  Before taking group fitness classes, working out was not enjoyable, but once I found group fitness classes I began to enjoy exercise. 

I am extremely passionate about teaching Zumba, Hip Hop Hustle, and Turbo Kick.  I love teaching group fitness classes in an outgoing, positive, enthusiastic, encouraging, energetic, motivating, and challenging manner, facilitating participants though class in a safe and nonjudgmental environment; and helping the participants achieve healthy lifestyle goals while having fun. 

I am certified to teach Zumba, Hip Hop Hustle, and Turbo Kick, along with participating in a Water X and Resistance In-Service training.  I anticipate completing my Primary Group Exercise Certification through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA) by the end of December 2013.

I am very welcoming to all participants and I am good at working with diverse groups of people.  I appreciate feedback in order to better help participants.  I have strong communication and interpersonal skills and am confident teaching in front of any size group, and have taught Zumba in forty-five minute and one-hour formats.  I believe proper form is very important and I emphasize the importance of safety and proper execution of moves.  Additional I offer modification for more basic and advanced moves so every participant is able to succeed.               

My strong leadership skills and drive to do the job correctly and effectively allow me to work with little supervision. I am very dependable, professional, and respectful of everyone.
