Kara’s yoga journey began in 2005 in Ithaca, New York. Yoga was different from her usual fitness routine but the positive energy of the instructor blended with the power of the yoga class had her hooked. Kara is known for her powerful practice, intuitive understanding of the body and her creative, and engaging yet playful teaching style.

Kara completed her first RYT 200 with Satya Yoga & Wellness in 2013 and then added an additional RYT 200 training by completing Levels 1 & 2 - Power Yoga Training with Amazing Yoga in Pittsburgh, PA. Kara also has completed several trainings in the Baptiste methodology and in February 2019 gained the title of Certified Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor. Kara is completed a 300hr Master Class yoga training with Dancing Dog Yoga in Atlanta, GA. in May 2021. In addition to the Yoga, Kara also is a Reiki Master and loves to infuse her classes with some meditation, relaxation and chakra balancing.

Kara has led over 4000 hours of yoga teaching registered with the Yoga Alliance. She has instructed teacher trainings and given several specialized workshops to yoga teachers and students on the art of language, anatomy and physiology, Yoga 101, alignment, yoga nidra and meditation.
Kara hopes when you step off the mat you are energized, refreshed, and balanced.
