Rebecca Delott

After years of teaching in elementary school classrooms, followed by several years working in wine sales and education, I discovered a deeper connection as a teacher through my profound practicing of yoga.  Becoming a certified Hatha/Vinyasa yoga instructor was a natural progression.  Yoga continues to be an ideal tool for cultivating confidence, patience, self-awareness, and joy combined with emotional/physical strength.

I am thrilled to be teaching Hatha/Vinyasa styles of yoga because they are very freeing and creative! In my teaching, I focus on the connection of breath and movement, which creates internal heat, purifies the body and ease in the mind.   This practice lends to cleansing the spirit, softening the heart, strengthening the body, and to greater self-appreciation. With humor, delight and serenity, I offer a genuine approach to teaching, reminding students to be in their greatness.  I deeply appreciate every opportunity to teach and to continue learning!

I am extremely thankful for my principal teachers Geri Bleier, Tom Quinn, Claire Mark and Quinn Kearney at Yogaview in Chicago.  I have also studied with master teachers such as Tim Miller, Natasha Rizopoulos, Desiree Rumbaugh, Kathryn Budig, and Tias Little.  I am forever grateful and extremely passionate about this yogic path!

TESTIMONIALS: I am humbled and grateful to share this practice.

"Rebecca has a very upbeat and positive attitude during her class. It is easy to see she is passionate about yoga and provides clear and great instruction to her students. She goes above and beyond to help anyone in class and is very sensitive to their needs. She does a variety of different poses in each class keeping them fresh and interesting. I always look forward to her class." ~Chuck

"I love that in Rebecca's classes, everyone is encouraged to practice with a "beginner's mind." I came to her classes as a true yoga beginner and have left each day feeling stronger, calmer and more self-assured. Rebecca focuses on the purpose and meaning of each pose, and the relationships between poses, which allows us as students to learn, explore and progress at our individual paces. I also like the way Rebecca always begins and ends class with a quote or a thought about the meaning of yoga in one's life on and off the mat." ~Adri

"Rebecca's classes are always fresh with new variations and approaches to poses, making her classes accessible, as challenging as you want, and entirely invigorating mentally and physically. Her guidance in class is most observant and relevant regardless of one's practice level." ~John

"The thing that distinguishes your class from others that I take is that your demeanor is welcoming, soothing and challenging, and I believe that this is reflected in the remarkable attendance that you enjoy. You are able to put everyone of all skill levels at ease and guide them through both basic and challenging sequences while successfully encouraging the student's belief in themselves. You are also a very gifted communicator in the technical realm, which is very important given your large class sizes." ~Rob

"Calm voice, large variety of material (new things every week), confidence in participants, good sense of humor, kindness & thoughfulness (genuine concern & care for participants)." ~Connie
