Christy Hays

I became a Licensed Zumba Instructor in 2008.  Since that time, I've done over 1900 Zumba Classes plus special events, fund-raisers, and promotions utiltizing fitness as the driver to energize and motivate others.  I was voted Tulsa's Best Fitness Instructor, open to all fitness experts, not just Zumba.  Our class celebrates every 50 classes that a person attends.  I have 2 students that have celebrated over 1200 classes with me and we have dozens that have celebrated 500 or more.  To me this signifies the continued fun and community that is created in our class and the enthusiasm that I bring to Zumba! Last year I amped up my Zumba offering to become certified as a Zumba Strong instructor. Strong by Zumba is high intensity interval training to music. I often call it boot camp to music which helps me explain the level of fitness. Zumba is a universal language and I would love to share my passion and energy with others across the globe. You can find me at www.letszumbanow.com

I am also a certified Zumba Plate instructor, enabling me to offer classes on food, health, and disease prevention. I've offered several well-attended classes on basic food wellness, fighting inflammation, and staying healthy by using food as medicine.

In 2013 I completed the 40 hour training to be a certified as a Qigong instructor through the Institute of Integral Qigong and TaiChi with Dr. Robert Jahnke.   Qigong is meditation in movement which combines slow, rhythmic movement with mindfulness. This certification has led me to conduct qigong classes indoors, outdoors, with classes and for the public. Qigong was a springboard for me to offer meditation classes and provide paid lectures on mindfulness. You can see my offerings at www.zenmoves.me
