Jacqueline earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), majoring in Physical Education specializing in Fitness, then went on to complete 2 years of graduate studies in Exercise Physiology at McGill University. She is a level 1 Sport Conditioning Coach, Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Her experience in the fitness industry began in the early 80’s and has included teaching various forms of exercise classes with often over 300 participants, facilitating workshops and training individuals one-on-one. She enjoys writing Fitness Tips for local newspapers, developing educational materials and conducting various workshops. Jacqueline’s professional experience includes being a Grade School Teacher, the Fitness Director for various facilities across Canada and most currently the Regional Director for the Orleans YMCA-YWCA. She strives to continuously upgrade her skills and knowledge in the industry with her next goal being to successfully complete the requirements for Life Coaching.
Jackie’s passion for active living started when she was very young, as a participant, competitor, and then coach in sports such as skiing, gymnastics, softball, swimming, water-polo, diving and trampoline. She currently enjoys various forms of exercise, especially cycling, strength training and yoga. Her drive to live a healthy life became unyielding when her mother died of cancer at a young age, and reinforced a few years later when her father succumbed to cancer as well.
She is an entrepreneur and true visionary who believes in empowering everyone that she comes in contact with. Her motivation, determination and caring will leave you feeling like you really can go beyond your limits.
