Kristen Houlker

I have always been an athlete and always been in love with travel.  I have traveled extensively and I always seek out ways to exercise no matter where I am in the world.  I have done a triathlon in Miami, taken a bootcamp class in Central Park, jogged the streets of Istanbul and run up palace steps in Prague!  I take my boxing gloves and pads to the beach and could paddleboard until I am tanned and salty!  I love the onset of any vacation I am on, I love the anticipation of what I will see, who I will meet and what I will eat.  Travel is truly the song in my heart, and when I include fitness and my family I am the best version of me.

I work hard in order to afford my trips.  I have worked in telecommunications for 15 years and am a Senior Manager of Business Development for Earthlink Business, and I own and operate Metrowest Bootcamp, LLC.  I also work one day per week at my local YMCA as a bootcamp instructor and sub for various fitness classes.  My office job keeps my mind sharp, allows me to explore technology, and provides me my lifestyle.  Founding MWBC, LLC with my three partners has been one of the most  fulfilling and enriching experiences of my 39 years.  It was important for me to be a positive, contributing member of my community, as I have 2 school-age daughters, and Metrowest Bootcamp provided me the community hook I was looking for and much more.  Since its foundation in 2010, we have doubled in  sales, added two locations, and met and connected with so many amazing members of our community.  I have earned great business understanding and have honed my instructor skills and expanded my repertoire of workout ideas exponentially.  I went on to found MWBC Community Outreach in 2013, which is a charity organization raising funds for breast cancer survivors in our community.  We have helped 6 survivors and their families.

I am an AFAA certified Group Exercise instructor and am also a Registered Nurse.  I have special certification in Tabata Bootcamp and will be earning TRX certification on 11/1/13.

I look forward to bringing my energy, experience and down to earth nature to new clients in new places through your organization.
