Mary Martinez

Hi, my name is Mary Martinez and I am passionate about inspiring others to reach for their dreams, throw caution to the wind, let go of what inhibits them, surround life with positive people, seek quality of life and let nothing stop you from love and happiness!

My family and I moved to Playa del Carmen, Mexico almost 2 years ago. My husband and I quit our corporate jobs, sold everything and moved to Paradise!  We both became very depressed living in the Mid-West, gained a lot of weight and stopped having fun!  Moving to Mexico was a new beginning for us!

I decided to get my license to teach ZUMBA after taking classes and falling in love with it!  I started losing weight and felt I could be a success story for anyone thinking they couldn't do it!  After my training class, I like many were so excited to start teaching!  Shortly after I obtained my license, someone told me I was too fat to teach ZUMBA and wanted me to know that I should not represent fitness!  I allowed these words to discourage me and hang up my license for the time being.

I met some incredible ladies, fellow ZUMBA instructors who invited me to do 1 song on stage for an event.....that was all it took! 1 song....I remembered my passion for teaching ZUMBA!  I have surrounded myself with the most beautiful ladies, we love to dance, we love to inspire, we laugh, we share, we dream, we DANCE!!!!!!
