Juan Gonzalez

My name is Juan Gonzalez, I am 40 years old and I am a Zumba Instructor in NY.  I was introduced to dance at an early age in my life, at the age of 8. My first dance form was Ballet and that first experience was at the Elliot Feld Ballet Academy in NYC. Later i studied Flamenco. Graham Technique and several of other dance forms, this was taken place at Ballet Hispanico which ironically was the same school and at the same time as J Lo was attending. In my HS Years I attended F.H LaGuardia HS which many of you know as the FAME school, School of Performing Arts or P.A (That’s how students and Alumni refer it as.). I later attended The Julliard School and received my BFA. Sadly I did not continue my dance career but instead became a Flight Attendant for United Airlines and I slowly detached myself from the dance world. Luckily four years ago I came across a dancer and now a very good friend  who introduced me back into the dance world and Zumba and of course took very little convincing and I felt in love for dance again. Needless to say, I became Zumba Instructor and been subbing when I can. i truly enjoy teaching and sharing my dance knowledge to students whenever the opportunity is given. Unfortunately my fulltime job prohibits me from having a Zumba class schedule but I do get lots of Vacation time and I tend to fill in frequently.
