For most of my youth through late teens, I was slender.  My weight ballooned 10-pounds after I left home for college.  At the end of my university career, I had packed on about 30 pounds, but managed to shed the excess weight with diet and exercise.  A pregnancy in my late 20's followed by a general lack of a healthy lifestyle caused me to post a weight of 221 pounds, about 80 pounds over my ideal weight.  In 2010, I purchased my first Zumba Fitness video and got hooked. Meanwhile, teaching Zumba classes plus attending classes as a student, following a diet plan, and working out in a circuit for the last 2 years have all contributed to 50 pounds less of me to love. My journey continues toward a healthier me.
