My name is Michelle Hill and I am a certified Health Coach and certified Group fitness instructor. I am a Mother of 2 children and have been married for 18 years. I have always been interested in fitness and began training to be an instructor after taking aerobics at our local gym. In 1997 I was certified in AFAA and began teaching step aerobics. From there I began specializing in the Les Mills programs. The first was Bodypump, a strength training class. From there I went on to get certified in BodyStep, RPM, BodyAttack and cxworx. I stepped into the director position for Group Fitness in 1998 until 2005 and taught 8-10 classes per week. This was my full time job along with personal training. I later took over the management position for the Personal training department. There I created an accountability program for training called MAX results. This program incorportated goal setting into personal training, especially in the area of weight loss. This helped me step into my next job as a Health Coach for Regence Insurance. Once employed by them I became certified in Wellcoaches which is a national certification for coaches with a required specialty. I have worked as a coach from 2005 until currently. I still teach for Gold's Gym and Lewis-Clark State College.
I am a runner, cyclist and swimmer. In 2008, I completed the Coeur d' Alene, Idaho IronMan. This is a triathalon that consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run. I have ran 10 marathons and done 2 other triathalons. I love to run and use this to stay in shape along with teaching classes and watching my diet.
