I grew up with fitness. I have been active in sports and outdoor activities since before I could walk. When I turned 14 I started lifting weights for sports and that exploded into a love of all things fitness. No matter what the season I find myself searching for ways to stay active, and living in Wisconsin with the winters that can be a challenge. I got a degree in health promotion while in college and then began really learning what that meant. I learned more in my first job about fitness and training than I did in all of my time in college. College gave me the scientific background to be able to apply and understand what I was learning on the job. Since gradauting in 2008 I have worked in two large chain gyms where I got the opportunity to do personal training, small and large group training. I also spent a year working in the physical therapy field as an aide. I learned a great deal about injury prevention and rehab which has become invaluable in my career. I know work for a small boutique style training studio where I get the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients in both individual sessions and small group sessions.
