I am a certified athletic trainer with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. I am certified in personal training by American Sport and Fitness. I have CEC in aquatics, Plyo dance, spinning,rebounding and kettlebells. I also have a Bachelors of Science degree in Dance. Dance has always been a passion of mine since I started dancing as a child. It is a fun way to stay healthy and in shape, but the best part is giving my students the opportunity to move to the beat of a song that they love, and feel good doing it!
I have worked with men, women and children of all ages and all different skill levels. I taught hip-hop classes at different dance studios including, Dance New York and Hudson Valley Dance Studio. While there I instructed structured dance classes for various levels. I ran an all levels hip-hop class at an after school program in Ossining for middle school aged adolescents who wanted to learn hip-hop and street jazz basics. At Premier Athletic Club I taught a basic ballet class to children three to five years of age and at Chapel Hill Lifestyles Center I taught a dance based fitness class for all ages. I believe my dance background helps me understand the body in a way that enhacnes my teaching and allows me to connect with my students. I currently teach aqua boot camp, aqua aerobics, sculpt, barre, cardio kick boxing, bootcamp, rebounding and plyo dance, cycle and kettle bells at various New York City health clubs.
When teaching at athletic centers and private athletic clubs I strive to use my dance background to formulate fitness classes for people of varying fitness levels in order to burn calories and to keep your heart rate up. I want my students to achieve their goals towards a healthier lifestyle while having fun!
