- Lisa Salas
Lisa is a St. Paul native with a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota. Currently she is a Project Manager in the advertising field, but if she could do it all over, she’d study to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Her dream job would be a stay at home mom with her 3 kids and teach as many classes as she could as a group fitness instructor. Lisa has always loved exercise and fitness starting as a runner in high school as well as track and CC; she now teaches a variety of formats ranging from step, aqua fitness, strength and cardio classes, tabata, HIIT & spinning.
As a high powered professional career women [AND mom] Lisa understands how hard it is to balance it all. Her passion to motivate people started at the university and continues today with her consistent message to members: “Everything counts, something is better than nothing; if you don't have 2 hours to work out, then make just 30 minutes count!”
Lisa lives by the adage: Everything always works out someway, somehow. AND you need to be flexible in life. She tells her kids this a lot to help teach them learn that life doesn’t always go as planned.
Reading and spending time with her kids are Lisa’s favorite leisure activities. She loves Chips, Salsa and Guac; favorite dessert: anything CHOCOLATE!
Lisa's guiltiest pleasure is having a chocolate treat late at night, alone, when her kids are in bed, and no one can ask her for a bite of anything.
Lisa is ACE Certified and has been since 1995. Most recently to renew her CEC's, Lisa went to the Idea World Fitness Convention in Los Angeles, CA. She came home with a wealth of knowledge in the industry and a new energy for teaching.
