In addition to running, I grew up loving group fitness classes.  I've tried everything from kickboxing, step, Jazzercise, yoga, total conditioning, and of course, Zumba. When I gained 30 lbs, I needed a new routine that would compliment by running and that's when I found Zumba.  I'm an avid salsa dancer and was a member of many dance programs while in college.  When my gym started to offer, Zumba, I started taking it religiously.  After a year or so of being a member, I decided to take it to the next level and get my license.  To date, I've lost (and kept off) 15 lbs.  On top of being on track with this goal, I'm loving teaching and engaging with my clients.  I used to be a classroom teacher, so becoming a Zumba instructor has allowed me to combine my passions for teaching and dancing.
