I found out at an early age that I had a deep passion for anything associated with sports and fitness. The industry has always been a big part of my life, whether it is through participating, teaching, coaching or instructing. I have played on many provincial and national teams for different sports, both in civilian life and while I was in the military. After graduating high school, I joined the military, where once again I had the opportunity to work within the sports and fitness industry. After leaving the military I decided to remain in the fitness industry, where I felt, through my passion, knowledge, experience and motivational skills, I could help others obtain a healthy lifestyle so they could enjoy their retirement years. So I got myself certified, first in indoor cycle, then as a fitness instructor (FIS), then took boxing from a professional boxer, got into MMA courses through CanFitPro, I am certified through Red Cross for CPR and First Aid, and have to keep that updated every year and through the military, I have my military and soldier qualifications. I am also an avid martial arts person, have taken karate, kung fu and the art of Chi-gung. I am also certified as a PADI diver. I am able to teach almost anything, have worked with all age groups, held community bootcamps and do one on one training as well. I am always looking to better myself in this field by constantly upgrading my fitness level and knowledge through books, courses, internet, seminars and conferences.
