Mandy Torres
Mandy is an experience fitness instructor based out of New York City. For the past six years, she has worked with elite clientele ranging from high power New York City executives to celebrity clients helping them reach their fitness goals. Initially, Mandy attended Shenandoah University, where she graduated Summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance in 2003 and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance in 2007. In 2007, she was classically trained in Pilates mat by Kim Gibilisco (former owner of the Pilates Lab in New York City), and was certified by the Pilates Method Alliance. After moving to New York City in 2007, Mandy worked for the Yoga Room in Long Island City teaching Pilates classes before landing her current fitness job at Physique57. She began as a mat instructor at Physique57 in 2007, and then was trained as a barre method instructor in 2008. That year she also was promoted to Schedule Director of the company taking on the responsibilities of scheduling the now over 350 classes a week and 35 instructors throughout the 5 studios in Manhattan, Scarsdale and Bridgehampton. In 2010, she was certified by AFAA in Group Fitness. She is still currently a member of AFAA and is up to date on her CPR certification. She has worked on two Physique57 fitness retreats in the Bahamas, and is trained on how to be professional in the resort setting. She also has been showcased on QVC for Physique57 as well as in their DVD's and online streaming videos. Last, due to her proficiency as a teacher, Mandy was selected as the first teacher trainer of Physique 57 (following the founders). She has since trained 13 instructors in the Physique 57 method. Mandy has worked with an extensive client base and would love to share her love and knowledge of fitness to more people around the world.
