My primary employement is in the area of education. I conduct teacher development and oversee master's and certificate programs for teachers of English to speakers of other languages. I am the Associate Dean of the College of Education at Westcliff University in Irvine, California. But I have always been involved in sports. Throughout my life, I have seriously participated in: gymnastics, diving, horseback riding, many different martial arts, canoeing, kayaking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, cross country and downhill skiing, etc. However, I have practiced yoga continually since the 1980s.
