I first found yoga as a way to heal my body and mind from an illness which kept me in bed for an entire year. This was dehabilitating and it led me to open my eyes to the world of taking care of myself. Yoga literally brought me from a wheelchair to a marathon in one year, and cured my anxiety along the way. I am based in Baltimore where I teach at many locals but my true love is world traveling, experiencing other cultures. I believe that a yoga class should be accessible to everyone while also being challenging for everyone at the same time, and I believe it is an art form to achieve this balance.
I also work as a life coach. I work with anyone who doesn't wake up excited to face their day, and I get people there. From this point, lives change swiftly and permanently, barriers which were once impossible are crossed, and you will never say something is impossible again.
In my "other life" I earned a PhD in Mathematical Sciences and work in the software industry as a defense contractor.
As a yoga instructor, I ran a studio in Baltimore for 2 years before closing it to be more available to travel. I have been featured on Lifetime TV, and am a powerful influence of many. I also keep a (mostly) daily blog at www.davidkravitzcoaching.wordpress.com.
