Matthew Fenske

I was born and raised as a country kid in the small town of Sauk City Wisconsin.  This is where I spent my childhood getting into trouble with my older siblings, learning valuable life lessons, and living an active lifestyle.  At a young age I became interested in martial arts and received my black belt thirteen years later in Tae Kwon Do.  After high school I moved to the wonderful city of Eau Claire to continue my education and received my bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Human Performance and Sport Performance.  During my time in Eau Claire I had the opportunity to work as a speed, agility, and strength coach for the Eau Claire Express semi-professional baseball team.  I also took advantage of an offer to work with a local high schools athletic program, which required me to develop programs for their soccer, football, basketball, baseball, tennis, wrestling, swimming, and golf programs.  To further my knowledge in the health field I joined a club where I designed programs for people competing in physique and fitness shows.  At these shows they were graded on muscular tone, symmetry, size, function, poses, and many other fitness aspects.  Although everything I told you thus far has been about my athletic background it does not stop there.  I have had the opportunity to work with multiple clients who suffered from back fractures, broken arms, torn anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL), torn rotator cuffs, shoulder impingements, IT band syndromes (aka: runners knee), low back pain, and multiple other injures developed from muscular trauma.  I hold two certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer (NASM-CPT) and corrective exercise specialist (NASM-CES).  I also completed courses in Boise Idaho allowing me to hold a CrossFit Level One certificate (CF-L1).   My clients are challenged to reach their full potential by incorporating the 10 general physical skills of fitness into their program.  Those skills include Cardiovascular Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Speed, Power, Coordination, Balance, Accuracy, and Agility.  With an equal balance between the 10 general physical skills of fitness my clients are provided with the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to alter their daily routine and begin living a life that can sustain the unpredictable troubles associated with the aging process.
