Ever since I was a child I was always active and involved in sports; gymnastics, soccer and rugby. One of my first jobs was lifeguarding and I always enjoyed working during Aquafitness classes. In 2007 I took my group aquafitness and vertical water training course, and ever since I have been teaching. In 2011, I became a personal trainer through the YMCA. This course has given me additional information to help create a well balanced class while meeting the needs of those participating. I have also used the personal training inforation to help myself improve my time for half marathons.
I currently teach for a private club regular aquafitness as well as pre-natal classes. With my full time job I oversee a weight room and all fitness programs and classes for a recreation complex with the City of Ottawa. I assist with organizing our municpal fitness conference; as well as, leading workshops and courses.
