I was told my first words were "Ta-Da"! I learned to dance when I was five, and got all the way on to pointe at age 13 when I was told that I was too short to become a prima ballerina. I stepped away from dance for a few years to concentrate on playing the violin, but started up again in my early twenties, doing Jazzercise, Step Aerobics, and other dance-based workouts along with bodybuilding and weight training with dedicated competitive bodybuilders in my area. I never competed though, because the diet required to reduce body fat enough to compete gave me massive headaches and a consistent gnawing in my stomach. I love helping people discover their inner groove and I look forward to increasing my skill set to include some of my favorite classes that I take, including Aqua Zumba and Kickboxing.

I am an AFAA certified group fitness instructor, a licensed Zumba instructor and a POUND pro. I have been doing yoga since 1975 and plan to get a certification in yoga soon. I have been a Buddhist since 1985 and lead meditation groups in my area. People ask me "Where do you get your energy?" and I tell them that I take my downtime very seriously. I want to preserve my body for as long as possible because I have a long list of things I want to do in my lifetime, but I need exercise to get those endorphins and other brain chemicals going for my own well- being. 

I am a certified mediator and Non-Violent Communicator. I help people stay out of court and preserve their relationships by helping them meet in the middle. I love a win-win situation!
