Aimee Williams

My name is Aimee Williams and I am a 40 year old full time working mother of 3.  My husband is an attorney so I had the priveldge of staying home for 12 years with my children before going back to work full time.  After having children I found exercise was a great way to release stress and I quickly fell in love with spinning/cycling when I began taking classes in 2002.  It wasn't long that I was approched about teaching and so I decided to get certified to teach spinning.  As I grew in my abilities at the YMCA, I was approached for more than just being an instructor.  I currently am the Group Exercise Director, who oversee 75 instructors within my YMCA branch.  I am also the Race Director of the Mistletoe Run which puts me in charge of all aspects of the race.  Race day usually has 4,000 runners in 3 races, a half marathon, a 5k and a 1 mile Fun Run as well as nearly 200 volunteers located throughout the course as well as onsite at the afterparty event.  I LOVE seeing people making efforts to live a healthier life and it's great to have a hand in those efforts.
