Jaime Polen

My name is Jaime Polen.  I am a mother of twin boys, age 15. I am 42 years old.  I have been in the exercise industry for 24 years.  I began my fitness career by teaching step aerobics, multi-step and water aerobics. Fourteen years ago I got my certification in Jazzercise. Jazzercise is a group dance aerobic program which includs 35 minutes of aerobics and 25 of strength training each class.  I was hired by Jazzercise to travel and monitor other instructors for quality control and did so for two years.  Jazzercise is a choreographed exercise program and all instructors receive a yearly evaluation.  I am happy to provide a copy of mine. 

I am a full time registered nurse.  I am in charge of the Pre-op and PACU at a specialty hospital.  We do orthopedic and spinal surgeries.  I have advanced cardiac life support certification.  I have been in my current position for 9 years.  I also do contingent work for a plastic surgeon.  That's my favorite !  Prior to my current position I worked in a multi-specialty hospital and worked in the emergency room. 

I enjoy traveling and do so four to five times a year.  I love to participate in group exercise while I am on vacation.  I am all personality and a true motivator!  My husband is heavily involved in fitness as well.  When we travel we primarily go to adult resorts.  We take our children on one carribbean vacation a year as well.  They play football and wrestle and are blackbelts in Tae Kwon do so we keep the family active!
