My yoga journey began at Harmony Yoga Studios in 2010. I quickly realized that the benefits of yoga expanded beyond the physical into the mind and soul. Early on in my practice, I remember an instructor saying "how you show up on your mat is how you show up in life." I meditated on her words, and from that point on I decided that the time spent on my mat would be my time to work on me. How am I showing up? Am I present? Am I anxious? Am I breathing?” Over time, I was able to translate the lessons I learned on my mat to how I lived my life. The anxiety and worry that once plagued me began to fade as I found peace, gratitude, and acceptance. As a student, I experienced the healing power of yoga. Now, as an instructor, I hope to share this with my students. Allyson recently completed the 200 hour teacher training program at Cleveland Yoga with Tami Schneider and Lisa Davis. I describe my classes as “challenging, uplifting, and grounding.” You can expect a creative vinyasa flow infused with fun and good music!
