A former competitive dancer, and athlete, Kelsey discovered the Pilates method of exercise as a way to provide her with the physical challenge that she was accustomed to, without the same stress and high impact that her body had endured through her competitive dancing years. As a current member of the Canadian Dance Masters of America and a certified dance instructor specializing in acrobatics, Kelsey found Pilates to not only aid in rehabbing old injuries but also to increase her own flexibility and strength towards her dancing. In 2009 Kelsey started training to become a Pilates instructor through STOTT Pilates®. Kelsey’s objective as a Pilates instructor is to share her love of movement with her clients and to improve their overall well being. By bringing energy and laughter to her sessions, Kelsey strives to exceed her clients' expectations by giving them more than just a Pilates class. She strives to help her clients achieve their goals by teaching them to understand their bodies, increasing their body awareness, improving posture and raising their self-esteem and confidence. Kelsey’s teaching experience has been enriched by her continuous participation in workshops relating to Pilates, movement education, and fitness.
