I am an engineer by day and fitness guru by night. I am enthusiastic and enjoy being active. I started my fitness aspirations by weight training and after several months of weight training and getting bulky I began to incorporate running into my routine. Wow…I enjoyed running and within a year I started entering races. The first race I ran was an 8-mile run and I took first place in my age. That started me down a road to training for marathons. After my first marathon I realized I needed to cross training with different cardio activities so I began taking step aerobic classes. After a year the instructor quit teaching and the YMCA in Saginaw, Michigan asked me to teach step aerobics so I got certified and began my aerobics career. Since then I have moved to Battle Creek, Michigan and I teach double step, Y-pump, Pilates and I am a Personal Trainer. My latest accomplishments are competing in the Minnesota 530 mile Border-to-Border Triathlon in July 2006; competing in a Bodybuilding show in March of 2007 taking placed 3rd in the masters division and my team took 2nd place in the Kal-Haven Ultra-marathon as a 2 person team!
