My passion for fitness started as a child -- I did everything from horseback riding to gymnastics to martial arts! When I was a teenager, I started ballet, which became my top priorty as a teenager. It was during this time I discovered I have scolisis. To manage the pain, I started taking Pilates and yoga. To this day, I remain pain free as long as I practice regularly.
I majored in dance in college, and I recieved a grant from the college to obtain my Pilates teaching certication. I taught on campus, and it was then I discovered my passion for teaching fitness. After I graduated, I decided to obtain my Personal Training certification and commit to a career in fitness. In 2013 I gained my CSCS, and my Spinning and Yoga certifications.
My current interest is Olympic Weightlifting. I lift with a barbell club in CT, and I love the sport. The feeling of being stronger than yesterday is addicting. My motto is, "Strength doesn't come from knowing what you can do. It comes from doing things you ONCE thought you could not." (Rikki Rodgers)
There is nothing I love more than to see someone acheive a goal and to improve their quality of life through exercise!
