Rose Sgarlato

I graduated with a BA in Communications from American University and also studied in Rome Italy undergrad for a year.

Prior to my current work, I was in the hospitality industry working for large restaurant groups in NYC and a hotel in New Jersey. I completely understand that the guest comes first. My personaliy reaches people or I would never been able to hold these positions,

For the past nine years, I am a freelance writer and editor for a weekly newspaper Straus News (one S in Straus). Prior to that I was in the sales and marketing end of both the fashion and hospitality industries. My communicaiton skills are excellent,  and I enjoy extending that to my yoga teaching.

I am activley involved with Family Promise, a local non-profit organization that helps homeless families in our area. I volunteer tmy time and cook meals for these small groups and have my two children particpate also.

I am an old school yogi that believes in practicing slowly and for all levels fosusing on opening up the body before going into challenging postures. My years of practicing ypga had provided me with great refernces-it is not trendy for me-I have been doing it for 15 years. I am always evolving in my yoga practice and learnign -for this I am passioante about it. I am blessed to have met beautiful souls through it also. I love being a teacher but I am a student first.

I enjoy travel and the idea of teaching in a resort enviroment is extremely appealing-I have a great understanding of the type of yoga that reosrts promote-the classes cannot be "over the top" and must appeal to a broad spectrum of guests.
