Michelle Stone

Michelle Stone is a secondary school teacher as well as a yoga instructor in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario Canada. Along with her post-secondary degree in education, Michelle is RYT 280 qualified and has completed the YMCA’s Basic Theory Training in Group Fitness, as well as Zumba Fitness’ Basic Steps Level 1 training. By day she teaches high school physical education and dance and facilitates, manages and choreographs for the school’s extracurricular competitive dance teams. Michelle is a former competitive dancer of the prestigious Joanne Chapman School of Dance in Brampton, Ontario Canada. She has also been trained in Latin, Swing and Ballroom dance. 

Michelle shows commitment in her professional life to educating today’s youth, particularly females, in areas of health and well being through daily lessons in fitness, physical education and dance. She firmly believes in leading by example to promote a healthy, active lifestyle for those around her and as such is an active member of her local gym, a volunteer basketball and dance coach and an outdoor enthusiast.

Michelle's yoga classes encourage participants to safely explore moving their bodies while taking time to connect to their breath. She is committed to making sure her participants know that 'every body is welcome' in yoga and everyone needs to start somewhere in their fitness journey.
