Marie's passion for yoga started in 2000 whilst she was living in Malaysia. Her eyes opened to the potential of transformation through a dedicated yoga practice. Convinced it was something to be explored further Marie began to inquire into yoga's hidden depths. She realised it is perfectly possible to restore equilibrium through truly questionning your own sense of self to find what is needed to achieve overall wellness and peace. She believes that Yoga can unite all facets of life if we allow it and are prepared to practice.

It was when she moved to Ethiopia in 2007 that Marie was encouraged to guide yoga lessons. She has not looked back and qualified to teach in 2009. Her style is a melange as she has lived in Asia and Africa most of her adult life and found yoga where she could. She has studied with some amazingly gifted teachers from different schools of yoga in India, the UK and Costa Rica. She has been influenced in many ways by them all. Her experience of living as an expatriate has developed her understanding of different cultures and acknowledges that we are all unique multidimensional beings.

She guides her students intuitively, with care, attention to detail and with a strong focus on mindfulness. She watches to see how her students respond and structures classes to allow for each individual to find their comfort zone. Her love of tai chi and qi gong allows for a practice that incorporates fluidity and strength working with the subtle energies of the body. Strength and awareness is developed through non-harmful means as students are encouraged to work within their own individuality. Unique and specialised adjustment techniques are given to students who need to factor in medical conditions as part of their practice. Therapy, healing and comfort are an integral part of how she guides a class. She works happily with beginners to advanced students alike. The beauty of yoga being that there is always something else to learn for everyone. Whilst she takes her yoga teaching seriously, her style is calm, genuine and lighthearted.
