Chi Pham has been involved in every facet of tennis coaching, from summers at the most prestigious country clubs in the Minneapolis area to developing some of country’s elite players.
Chi brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the table. As a player, Chi was a former top 20 USTA nationally-ranked junior and was invited to be part of the USTA Player Development National Team. He finished each age group ranked top 30 nationally and the 18 & Unders at #18 in the country in 2004. Chi was also ranked #1 in the USTA/Northern Section in the 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s, having gone undefeated in his final two years.
After graduating from The Blake School, where he won 3 MSHSL State titles, he went on to play collegiate tennis at the University of Minnesota from ‘04-‘08, serving as co-captain his senior year and leading the Gophers to a top 15 ITA Division 1 National Ranking during his stint.
He is now dedicated to developing the region’s top junior talent. As the Assistant Director of Junior Tennis for the Gopher Tennis Academy, he and Viet Pham have produced over 10 nationally-ranked players in the USTA/National top 40 during his time there. In his first year as Head Coach at Breck in ‘12, he led the Mustangs to the MN State Class A title.
