My passion with fitness began at a very early age. Cheerleading, running and aerobic exercise were my outlets during my high school years. While continuing throughout college and beyond, I continued with my fitness journey, but actually majored in accounting. My love for running put me in a few half marathons, but I was never fulfilled. It wasn't until after I had my first daughter that my personal and professional fitness journey transformed.
2008 was the year of many changes. I moved states, became pregnant with my second child, and realized I wanted to be a healthy role model for my children. While training myself, I realized the need of cross training, and for me (and women) strength based training. I quickly realized that public accounting wasn't my passion, and I wanted to help others. I wanted to inspire people to meet his / her goals, and make people healthy! I spent 12 years in accounting watching people become unhealthy- and it was time for me to change.
Over the course of the next three years, I focused on high intensity circuit training, agility work, and weight training. The results for me were astonishing - so I took my tools and began personal training. I was certified in 2009 and began working as a personal trainer at Life Time. During that time, I began teaching small group, and found my fit: Group Fitness Instructing! I resigned from public accounting, put my efforts into my family and health / fitness.
For the last 17 years, I have been teaching everything from Les Mills BodyPump, Sh'Bam and Combat - to Insanity - and most recently Alpha (olympic weight lifting). I currently teach a variety of classes from EDG cycling, and strength based classes to an athletic reformer workout.
My business FITT2 Training, is my personal training business. I work locally with individuals needing assistance with program design, and daily workouts both in person and remote.
