Anita Nunnelley

Anita has been practicing yoga since 1998. Upon the introduction to yoga and deep personal study, Anita obtained a 3-year yoga apprenticeship, national registration as a yoga teacher through yoga alliance and advanced degrees/studies in nutrition, wellness and yoga. Anita currently heads the yoga and pilates department of Leisure Skills at Clemson University. She has taught thousands of students the method, philosophy and practice of hatha yoga. Her perspective on yoga asana is to allow the student to explore the meditative capability of their bodies while remaining aware of safety, alignment and compassion in further growth. She is inspired by classical Ashtanga yoga as well as vinyasa flow and Iyengar alignment methods. Classes are focused on strength, flexibility and balance while remaining respectful of the limitations as well as the capabilities of the holistic body.
