When I was in high school I soon realized that all of the women on both my moms and dads sides of the family were all overweight. I realized I was doomed if I didn't change something about my daily life. I tried many different work outs to which none of them stuck. Being a musical theatre performer and a music teacher I soon discovered Zumba and my passion grew. I loved being emersed in the music, dancing, and fun. I loved seeing women of all shapes and sizes getting together at what didn't seem like a workout class. I realized then that if I wanted to be in shape the rest of my life I needed to do more Zumba!
Being a natural born teacher, I have always done better at something if I was teaching somebody else how to do it. So, I decided that I would make it my goal to eventually become a Zumba instructor. I started attended as many classes as I could and finally in February 2014 I took my certification course. I loved it and right then and there I realized that I could make a difference in somebody elses life, not only my own body.
Being a natural performer, I have learned to "ham it up" and really put on a show. I believe this aspect is what makes me a unique and inspiring Zumba teacher.
