Prudence Sloane

Prudence is known as “The Dancing Chef.” She is a TV chef, culinary educator, food journalist and writes about food and wine pairing with her husband, Bob Chaplin. She begin her dancing career started as a result of being a contestant on a “Dancing with the Stars” style type of competition at the Connecticut Convention Center. She is now a member of the ballroom performance troupe, the Stardust Dancers. In 2009 she teamed up with legendary dancer, Joel Silvestro and together they formed The Dancing Duo. Joel is known across New England for his gentleman charm, expert dance skills and musicality, his sense of humor, and his "joie de vivre". Teamed with Prudence’s dancing grace, playfulness and stage presence this duo combines dances and music of all eras, theatrics, costumes and choreography into fun and entertaining dance vignettes. Along with performing they engage audiences of all ages teaching line dances and ballroom dances.
