I am a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor with eight years of practice experience.

 

I started my practice eight years ago after the birth of my son. Having many years of fitness experience, including teaching step aerobics throughout college, I have always had a love for the active life. An avid runner for almost two decades, I’ve logged many miles training and participating in 5Ks on up to the marathon. As a result, I found my body beaten down and in chronic pain, as well as fighting body image issues that had plagued me since high school. I rediscovered my love for yoga and became more serious about my health and practice four years ago. I received my 200hr RYT certification through the Yoga Alliance in 2013. Yoga has offered a space for my injuries to heal as well as show me the art of self acceptance. I love having fun when I teach and in my practice. I believe that all hard work must be balanced by love and humor. My philosophy is that yoga is for everybody and I am enjoy introducing yoga and its health benefits to others in an accessible way.  I love watching people learn to love themselves and their life, exactly where they are!

 

My teaching background consists of Beginner Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Power, Hot Yoga, Bootcamp/CardioYoga, Restorative & Gentle Stretch, Pilates, Step Aerobics, Aerobics, Aqua Aerobics, Standup Paddleboard Yoga, & Breast Cancer Patient Yoga.
