PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer Lake E-RYT 200 and A.C.E Certified Trainer has been practicing yoga for the past 10 years and teaching for the past 5. Her signature class teaching style is Vinyasa yoga; at the root of the practice is the art of physical sequencing with the synchronization of the breath in order to get to the heart of the monkey mind and live a more heart-centered peace-filled life. She has charisma, a wild sense of humor and infuses her classes with nuggets of life experienced wisdom highlighting the relation those experiences have to yoga practice, both on and off your mat.
For 5 years she has taught at The Works Family Health and Fitness center, held Yoga Workshops throughout the seacoast for both teachers and students, held private in home training’s and her signature Bliss Body Bootcamp training program. She has most recently been featured at Yogis Anonymous. The Works Family Health and fitness Center is where she originated and taught a Chair Yoga class for students with a range of abilities. Her students included: retirees, people rehabbing surgeries such as hip and knee replacements, people who had limited range of motion due to chronic illness such as arthritis, cancer survivors and people with multiple sclerosis. The success of this class lead to the creation of her premier Yoga DVD: Active Chair Yoga, improving health one breath at a time. Released October 2013, available for purchase on Amazon. Jennifer’s mission is to facilitate continued learning: Move your body, Free your mind, Love your life! Learn how to connect with your breath both on and off your mat. She aims to help herself and others continue to align what we think, say and do in order to create optimal living habits that transform the way we live our lives and the future of our planet. Jennifer is also a single mother of a beautiful 6 year old daughter who is her best example of how we can all be living in this one wild precious amazing life. Jennifer grew up on an ashram and has been a life-long vegetarian. She has experienced tremendous grief, loss and hardship as well as tremendous joy, freedom and peace. Through her own continued journey of transformation and leadership she helps others to live free, joy filled, emotionally and spiritually authentic lives.
