I came to yoga 6 years ago thorugh a military injury while on deployment. Upon returning home it was at least 2 years of physical therapy and chiropractic care with no real positive results that led me to try yoga which I had heard was a total body workout and lifestyle changer. As I was able to take more and more classes I found I was starting to regain my flexibility and strength and it is now a great addition to my everuday life. Fast forward 6 years and I am a walking miracle. I have overcome a splinal injury, along with other internal issues , and am able to fulfill my passion of teaching and traveling. Through my journies, I have gain a deeper understanding that, our bodies have been with us through every life experience. They carry a life’s worth of stress/worries/fears/anger/belief about ourselves/ as well as the world around us. Dis-Ease that we carry in our hearts and minds, takes physical form in our bodies, as illness, chronic pain and even fatigue. Yoga offers a unique opportunity to explore what’s happening in your body and gain insight to how this be may be connected to various areas of your life. Through yoga, I  believe in the engagement of both mind and body to bring about a total feeling of healthy living, while also promote an attitude of non judgement, and kindness with yourself as everyone is at a different stage in their journey physically, mentally, and emotionally.
