Jessica Lowman

I have always been a fitness enthusiast.  When I was growing up I didn't think of it as that, of course.  I just knew that I loved to push myself to the limit and challenge my body to perform.  In later years I still enjoy this type of intensity, but now my fitness aspirations have much more to do with my overall health and well-being.  I have always identified myself as a runner and since I am still interested in challenging my body, I completed my first marathon in 2006 and will finish my 13th in 2025.  Distance running will always be a part of my fit lifestyle, but since 2010, when I met my fitness coach, I now mainly focus on weight lifting and high intensity interval training.  I began learning more specifically about how the body functions and performs depending on exercise and diet.  This lifestyle led me to compete in the NPC Elite Muscle Classic in Greensboro, NC in late 2011.  It was quite an exciting experience!  Afterwards, I was motivated to help others achieve their fitness goals and began personal training in my home gym.  Following the birth of my first baby, I knew I could help other "Mamas" and began teaching the "Fit Mamas" Boot Camp.  Additionally, due to my love for running, I decided to start an exercise group focused on sprinting!  This is an often overlooked form of exercise, but a great disicpline to adopt!  This group provides accountability for participants and takes the fear out of a somewhat daunting exercise.  Overall, I love my fitness journey!  And it is a wonderful feeling to teach others and be a part of their journey too!
