Fiona Garner

I have been working in the medical field since 1993 in various different roles as Medical Office management, Personal Support Worker and Assistant Administrator in a long-​term care facility. I decided to become a RMT in 2009 and my main focus since then was to provide Massage Therapy to the senior population. I do this by working part-​time at a retirement residence in Newmarket. This combines my skills as a PSW and an RMT.

I have to be very adaptable to the clients I care for in the sense that not everyone is able to get onto a massage table for a treatment so I have to adapt the treatment to suit the clients needs. I have helped a variety of clients who have neurological illness, mobility issues and even those recovering from surgical procedures. I believe the keys to being a great massage therapist is to have compassion and to be a good listener.

I graduated from Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in 2011, I have completed courses in Soft Tissue Release and Hot Stone Massage, I also have Reiki level I, II, III and I am currently working towards my Reiki Master designation.

I use Swedish massage and incorporate trigger point therapy, myofascial release and soft tissue release into my sessions. I look forward to meeting you and providing you with a comfortable relaxing treatment.
