I started my own practice with yoga in 2006 when I realized I desperately needed an outlet as I planned my wedding. Eight years later, I feel so committed to the practice, not only in the physical sense, but nothing can clear my mind like yoga can.
A few years into the practice, I knew I wanted more, needed more, so I signed up for our teacher training in Denver. It was an incredible experience. I learned about the postures, the mythology, anatomy, nutrition, and most importantly I gained an amazing network of likeminded yogis. I since have completed a level two training, a hot power fusion training and yoga sculpt training.
Currently, I teach two classes a week: An advanced vinyasa flow that I change every week. I try to spice things up for my students and allow them to open their bodies to things they did not know they could do. I also teach a yoga sculpt with is a power flow class using weights. We also do crazy things like squats, lunges, rows, curls and cardio bursts. The vibe is different, but it is a great workout and people leave feeling energized and focused.
I would love the opportunity to take my passion of yoga to other places and destinations. While vacation can always be relaxing, nothing can beat the feel of yoga outside with sand beneath the toes, looking at the sun and feeling the power of nature.
