From March to December 2013, I was a live-in volunteer at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. My seva happened to be an office seva, so although I worked through my issues with it as a means to personal growth, I determined that I needed a certification that would allow me to work outside of an office. I completed my 200-hr certfication from December 2013 to February 2014 and quickly began teaching...it's been a real blessing.

In September 2014, as soon as I finished my volunteer stint at Kripalu, my mother was diagnosed with Stage IV small cell lung cancer with bone mets. I have been one of her primary caregivers since the day I came back...sadly, she passed away from this disease a few days ago. This is a hard time in my life, but I know my mother wanted me to experience life and adventure. As a tribute to her, and to quench my own thirst, I am interested in teaching yoga abroad.
