In 2001,I started the practice of yoga as a way to release some of the stress I was experiencing in my life. I would take noon classes in order to help manage the high pressure corporate position I held. I began to see so many changes take place in my life that in 2010, I decided to become certified so I could begin to give back. I felt more peace, joy, and contentment as well as having taken responsibility for my life and let go of so much control. As pf last year, I left my corporate job and teach yoga full time which gives me so much joy. I continue to grow and learn and give every day!
I am a student of Yoga who practices all aspects of the Ashtanga 8-Limbs as part of daily life. I am one who believes and strives for a spiritual connection and integrity in all aspects of life, including the asana or physical practice of yoga. This thread is spun throughout classes that I lead. I hope to open others to the full benefits of practicing asana spanning from physical well being, to preventative care, to heart opening and life changing experiences.
